Warm Water Therapy Pool

Feel Energized! Whether you’re an avid swimmer or looking to learn, Fairview has a pool program for you. You don’t need to know how to swim to participate.

We know that swimming is great exercise. It has also been proven aquatic exercise and fitness can be beneficial for people who need to maintain mobility and flexibility, or to develop pre/post-operative strength.

Fairview has Cambridge’s only warm water therapy pool. The water temperature is maintained at a comfortable 92 degrees Fahrenheit (33 degrees Celsius) year-round and is equipped with a supportive handrail all around the pool, which measures 16’ x 38’. It also has easy access with low rising steps or a chairlift. The shallow end is 2’8” deep and the deep end is 5’ deep.

Our pool has a personal support worker available for those who need extra assistance.

Please bring a large towel. Bathing suits must be worn. Bathing caps are optional. Water shoes or sandals are recommended to wear on the pool deck. Swimmers are required to shower before and after they use the pool. Showers and washrooms are onsite and have direct access to the pool.
