We are incredibly grateful to all of our sponsors for supporting the Walk the Kindness Way event on September 12–13, 2025. Thanks to your generosity, more than 80 walkers — our largest group so far — joined to help us make this year’s event our most successful and memorable yet.
The weekend began with a lively opening celebration at Parkwood Community, filled with music, smiles, and excitement. Elaine even joined virtually from her trek along the Camino Trail in Spain to wish walkers luck, setting the tone for an inspiring journey ahead.
Walkers then made their way along the Walter Bean / Grand River trails, sharing laughter, encouragement, and determination every step of the way. Two residents from Fairview Community joined us along the path, bringing the purpose of the walk to life! The event concluded at Fairview with a heartfelt finish line celebration. Residents lined the path, cheering walkers on as they crossed the finish!
Because of your support, these funds will help bring to life Parkwood’s Healing Garden and furnish/complete the garden at Fairview. These additions will provide spaces of peace, reflection, and renewal for residents, families, and the community for years to come.
